The Joseph R. Biden Jr. Wilmington Rail Station provides service via Amtrak’s to cities in the Northeast Corridor including Washington, DC and New York City. SEPTA Regional commuter provides frequent service to and from Philadelphia.
DART First State bus service with over 40 bus lines serves the city and surrounding areas. DART also offers RideShare Delaware. This service links commuters that would like to share rides. Greyhound provides out of town service at the downtown bus terminal at the rail station.
New Castle/ Wilmington Airport began flights this year with Frontier Airlines servicing flights to Chicago, Houston, Denver, Orlando and Tampa. Charters are available. The Delaware Army National Guard and Delaware Air National Guard use New Castle Airport for training.
Interstate 95 provides access both east and west to major cities in the Northeast plus cities nationwide.
